Sick Days in Homeschool

So what does a homeschool mom do when over half the class is sick? Read! This week was a little rough due to four out of six kids being sick.

One moment to remember was snuggling with my youngest two while listening to stories on the iPad. I especially loved all the bear hugs Lil Pumpkin (the 1yr. old) gave me even though she wasn't feeling the greatest.

Here are the books we have loaded on the iPad at the moment. They especially loved Dr. Seuss this week.

The older kids and I spent several evenings reading Tirzah. This book has brought to life the story of the Israelites' exodus out of Egypt. As hard as it is for me to read books aloud, I enjoy these times with my older kids. Seriously, read aloud to your older kids--they enjoy it just as much as the younger kids!

Do you have any moments to remember this week? Head over to Homeschool Creations and link up!

Sweet Moments.... I know..as my children grow, some of those little moments are missed so quickly...yet, when they are sick and slow down...it's easier to find that quiet... Loveyour post! Thank you!

We love reading aloud together... really wanting to find more time for it and make it more routine than just at rest times or bed times!

We have had days or even weeks like this. Praying your family is back to being healthy soon.
